2. Information we collect and hold
We generally collect personal information directly from you.
The types of personal information we collect about you will depend on the purpose for which the information is collected. This can include:
- in the case of customers obtaining our products or services – your name, address, date of birth, email address, telephone number(s), driver’s licence number, credit card number and expiry date, employer and employee number and the contact details of people travelling with you;
- in the case of customers obtaining our products or services – vehicle and servicing details relating to a Jayco product including vehicle registration, vehicle purchase details, name of your selling dealer or servicing Jayco dealer, service appointment bookings and vehicle service and repair history;
- in the case of our customers and contacts – information collected from marketing campaigns, product research, customer feedback surveys and any interaction with us via social media;
- if you have requested to receive news and information about exclusive offers, promotions, or events – your name, mailing or street address, email address, and telephone number(s);
- if you have contacted our customer service team to make a complaint, provide feedback, submit an enquiry, request a call-back or request support – your name, mailing or street address, email address, and telephone number(s);
- if you are an individual contractor to us or are seeking employment by us, information relevant to your engagement including qualifications, resume, pay rate and salary, bank details, feedback from referees, training records and government-issued identifiers such as tax file numbers; and
- in the case of our suppliers and distributors – your name, mailing or street address, position, email address, and telephone number(s).
We may also collect information when you visit or interact with a Jayco website or other online platforms (Platforms). We, as well as any third-party service provider and/or advertiser, may use various forms of technology that automatically or passively record information about how the Platform is accessed and used (Usage). Usage information may include your IP address or other unique identifier for the device used to access a Platform, browser type, device type (e.g. computer, mobile or tablet), operating system, application version, date and time of visit, pages viewed, preceding page views, geolocation data (if applicable), and your use of features or applications on the Platform such as interactions with virtual tours, calculators and/or community groups.
The use of this Usage information helps us keep our Platforms relevant to users and allows us to tailor your experience to include content and products relevant to you. Usage information is generally anonymous, however, in the event we associate it with you as an identifiable person, we will treat it as personal information.
Cookies are data files placed on a device when it is used to visit a Platform. Cookies may be used to associate you with media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google Marketing Platform, SugarCRM and other media if you choose to enable them on your device. We may also place Cookies on your device for security purposes and to facilitate site navigation for a more personalized experience while visiting our Platforms.

Providing personal information about other individuals: If you provide personal information about other individuals to us, you must ensure that you have informed those individuals that you are providing their personal information to us and that you have obtained their consent and advised them of our Privacy Policy.
3. What happens if you do not provide your personal information?
If you choose not to provide the personal information we reasonably require, we may be unable to provide you with the products, services, finance, warranty support or other assistance you have requested.
4. How we use your personal information
We collect, use and hold your personal information to:
- provide you with products and services;
- process purchases, finance applications and warranty claims;
- provide servicing, repairs and after-sales support;
- communicate with you and respond to your enquiries;
- send you information about products, services, promotions and events that may be of interest (where permitted by law);
- conduct customer research and improve our products and services;

- assess employment applications where you apply for a position with us.
5. Who we disclose your personal information to
We may disclose your personal information to:
- organisations or agencies where disclosure is required or authorised by law;

Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside New Zealand, including through cloud-based software systems.
Where we disclose personal information overseas, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your information continues to receive safeguards that are comparable to those provided under the Privacy Act 2020, or we will otherwise comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act before making such disclosures.
Jayco Network
As an authorised Jayco dealer, we may share relevant information with Jayco Australia, authorised Jayco dealers, manufacturers and approved service providers in Australia and New Zealand where necessary to:
- process vehicle orders;
- administer warranties;
- coordinate recalls or service campaigns;
- provide after-sales support;
- maintain accurate service records; and
- improve your customer experience across the Jayco dealer network.
Your vehicle’s service and repair history may be available to authorised Jayco dealers where necessary to provide warranty support, servicing and ongoing customer assistance.
Where you have given your consent, we may also share your information with selected business partners to enable you to receive offers, products or services that may benefit you. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.
Personal information is stored securely using physical, electronic and administrative safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.
When personal information is no longer required, we will securely destroy or de-identify it where appropriate and where we are legally permitted to do so.
7. Accessing and correcting your personal information
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request correction of any information you believe is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

We will respond to requests in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. In some circumstances, we may refuse a request where permitted by law, but if we do so we will explain our reasons.
Generally, there is no charge for requesting access, although we may charge a reasonable fee where permitted by law for providing access to extensive information.
